317.Flies - Justin Karnes

Fly tying and fly fishing both started for me as a childhood hobby with my grandfather and great uncle. Then through my teens and 20’s i had gotten away from it a bit fishing local bass tournaments. Then after some unfortunate family events it rekindled my love for the sport of fly fishing, and tying again came shortly after. Predator flies and fly fishing are my passion, especially smallies, but i enjoy all aspects of tying. It has morphed over time into what it is now 317 Flies. From my own personal creations to some tried and true patterns. I don’t sell whats not personally in my own fly boxes, from smallie flies, to pike and musky, and even some dries and nymphs for late fall/early spring stocker rainbows here locally.
