Creeks & Critters - Sam Kidder

Hailing from the outskirts of Buffalo, New York, Sam Kidder aka Creeks N' Critters showcases the region’s underrated inland trout fishery beyond the Great Lakes steelhead scene. Known for tying articulated trout streamers, he also enjoys experimenting with everything from jig nymphs to dry-dropper rigs.

As a dedicated streamer angler, he thrives on the pursuit of big brown trout. After receiving a fly-tying kit as a gift three years ago, Sam discovered a passion that quickly evolved from a creative outlet into a therapeutic obsession. With a background as a mechanic, tying provided the perfect balance between precision and creativity.

Together with his brother Noah (@mendingmore) and fiancée Brandi (@fishin_with_b), Sam turned that passion into a business—one inspired by the creeks and the life that surrounds them, and fueled by the joy of seeing others catch fish on their flies.
